  1. bodum fun

excellent. I really like his appearance, but above all it works great when grinding coffee. coffee is not overheated, it is ground as much as I want. recommend

  2. Milly

To order, I contacted the seller and pointed out the problem. The seller apologized for the negligence of his delivery partner. The wrong label was affixed to the underside of the grinder, giving the impression that it is a model not allowed in Europe. On the other hand, the instruction manual describes the correct version of the mill. So everyone take a deep breath and you’ll be fine. The errors are human and I would say that the seller’s explanation hit me almost immediately. So grind your coffee without fear!

What is the correct way to use and clean my Bodum Bistro burr grinder for optimal coffee brewing?

The Bodum Bistro Burr Grinder is a reliable and popular grinder that can help you achieve perfect coffee grounds every time. To ensure optimal performance and keep your grinder in top shape, here are some steps to follow:

**Using the Bodum Bistro Burr Grinder:**

1. Fill the bean hopper with whole coffee beans. Make sure not to overfill as this may cause spillage during grinding.
2. Adjust the grind size by turning the dial located on the front of the machine. Choose your preferred grind size based on the brewing method you will use (e.g., espresso, French press, pour-over).
3. Press and hold the power button to start grinding. Release when you reach your desired amount of ground coffee. The grinder's capacity is about 12 cups or 100 grams of beans, so plan accordingly.
4. Pour the freshly ground coffee into your brewing device.

**Cleaning the Bodum Bistro Burr Grinder:**

1. Unplug the grinder before cleaning to avoid any electrical hazards.
2. Remove the bean hopper and the grinding chamber by unscrewing them from the body of the grinder.
3. Disassemble the grinding chamber by removing the handle and separating the upper and lower burrs. Be sure not to lose any small parts during this process.
4. Clean the outer surfaces of the grinding chamber with a damp cloth or sponge, ensuring no water enters the mechanism.
5. Brush off any loose coffee grounds from inside the grinding chamber using a soft-bristled brush or compressed air.
6. Use a small brush or an old toothbrush to gently scrub the burr surfaces, removing any remaining coffee residue. Be careful not to damage the burrs while cleaning.

How do I correctly grind beans in my Bodum Bistro coffee grinder for the first time?

To ensure proper use and grinding of beans in your Bodum Bistro coffee grinder for the first time, follow these steps:
1. Before using the grinder for the first time, make sure to thoroughly clean it. Disassemble the grinder and wash all parts with warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry them completely before reassembling.
2. Grind enough beans for your desired cup of coffee. For a standard cup (approximately 6 oz or 170 ml), use around 15-20 grams (about 1/3 to 1/2 cup) of whole beans.
3. Place the desired amount of beans into the hopper of the Bodum Bistro coffee grinder. Make sure not to overfill it as this may interfere with an even grind.
4. Ensure that the burr grinder is securely attached to its base and locked into place. Turn the hopper counterclockwise to lock it in position.
5. Flip the switch located on the bottom of the grinder to the "ON" position. Wait a few seconds for the grinder to reach full speed.
6. Once the grinding process begins, you may hear some noise and see small amounts of coffee dust coming out. This is normal as the burrs break down any lingering debris from the manufacturing process.
7. Grind the beans for the desired amount of time based on your preferred grind size. For a French Press or pour-over method, use a coarse grind (15-20 seconds); for an Espresso machine, use a fine grind (30-40 seconds).
8. Once you reach your desired grind size, turn off the grinder by flicking the switch back to the "OFF" position.
9. Tap or shake the grinder gently to dislodge any ground coffee that may be stuck in the burrs.
10. Remove the hopper and transfer the freshly ground coffee into your chosen brewing container.
11. Repeat the process for additional cups of coffee as needed. Remember to clean the hopper, burrs, and grinder after use to maintain its performance and longevity.

What is the optimal coffee-to-water ratio for brewing with my Bodum Bistro Coffee Grinder?

The optimal coffee-to-water ratio when using a Bodum Bistro Coffee Grinder varies depending on personal preference. Generally, it's recommended to use between 1 and 2 tablespoons of coarsely ground coffee per 6 ounces (170 milliliters) of water. This will produce a strong yet balanced brew with a full body and rich flavor. Remember that the ratio can be adjusted based on your taste preferences, with a higher ratio producing a stronger, more concentrated cup of coffee and a lower ratio producing a weaker, less intense cup.

How do I properly clean my Bodum Bistro coffee grinder to ensure optimal performance and prevent damage to the machine?

To properly clean your Bodum Bistro coffee grinder, follow these steps:
1. Unplug the grinder from the power source and remove the hopper and grounds collector. Wash them in warm soapy water using a soft sponge or cloth. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely with a clean towel. Use a small brush or toothbrush to clean out any coffee residue that may have accumulated in the grinding chamber. Make sure to remove all grounds, as this can cause clogging and affect the grinder's performance. To remove any stubborn stains or oils on the inside of the machine, mix equal parts of white vinegar and water and use a soft cloth or sponge to wipe down the interior surfaces. Rinse thoroughly with water and dry completely. Use a clean, dry microfiber cloth to wipe down the exterior of the grinder. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals on the machine's surface as this can damage the finish. Store your Bodum Bistro coffee grinder in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources. This will help prevent wear and tear on the machine over time.
