1 review for CASO Barista Flavour

  1. Julia

I bought this grinder about two months ago and only used it a few times because it turned out that there was a problem with changing the coffee to a sufficient level. I wanted to prepare an espresso, but for a good espresso to be successful – the coffee must be sufficiently changed.

With this model, even when set to the finest grinding setting, the coffee is never ground enough to be used as an espresso.
I tried with several types of beans and the effect was similar each time.

Perhaps it is good for those who want to use French Press coffee or some other type of coffee that does not require a finer grinding.

The quality of the product also leaves something to be desired as it is entirely made of plastic.
This is not what they expect in my kitchen – there must be a preset that is missing here. Most likely, I will give this grinder to someone and buy something more elegant myself

Frequently Asked Questions:

How do I adjust the grind size on my CASO Barista Flavour coffee grinder for a medium roast bean?

To adjust the grind size on your CASO Barista Flavour coffee grinder for a medium roast bean, follow these steps:
1. Begin by turning the hopper of the grinder to release any remaining grounds. Locate the grinding adjustment dial at the top of the grinder. This dial will have numbers or markings that indicate different grind sizes. For a medium roast bean, you will want to select a grind size that falls between 5-7 on the dial (or the corresponding number or marker on your specific model). These settings will provide an even extraction and balanced flavor profile for your coffee. To test whether the grind size is correct, run a few shots of espresso and taste them to ensure they have the desired flavor and body. Adjust the grind size up or down as needed until you achieve the desired result. Once you have found the optimal grind size for your medium roast bean, write it down or mark it on the dial for future reference. This will help you consistently produce high-quality coffee with your CASO Barista Flavour grinder.

How do I properly adjust the grind settings on my CASO Barista Flavour coffee grinder for a specific type of coffee bean?

To properly adjust the grind settings on your CASO Barista Flavour coffee grinder for a specific type of coffee bean, follow these steps:

1. Identify the type of coffee bean you will be using. Different types of beans require different grind sizes to extract their unique flavours. For example, Arabica beans typically require a finer grind than Robusta beans due to their softer texture. Check the manufacturer's recommendations for your specific coffee grinder model. CASO Barista Flavour coffee grinders have adjustable settings that range from extra coarse to extra fine. Consult the instruction manual or online resources to determine which setting is best suited for the type of bean you will be using. Clean the burr grinder thoroughly before making any adjustments. This ensures accurate and consistent results. Begin by grinding a small amount of coffee beans on your selected setting. Measure the resulting grounds to ensure they meet your desired consistency. If the grounds are too fine, increase the grind size setting. If they are too coarse, decrease the setting. Repeat this process until you achieve the desired grind size for your specific type of coffee bean. Remember to adjust your brewing method accordingly based on the grind size selected. For example, a finer grind may require less water and a shorter steep time, while a coarser grind may require more water and a longer steep time. Finally, always remember to clean your coffee grinder regularly to maintain consistent results and prevent the buildup of oils and debris that can affect taste and performance over time.

"How do I adjust the grind size on my CASO Barista Flavor coffee grinder to achieve a medium roast espresso?"

To adjust the grind size on your CASO Barista Flavor coffee grinder for a medium roast espresso, follow these steps:
1. Begin by ensuring that the grinder is clean and free of any residual coffee grounds or oils from previous use. This will help ensure accurate grinding results. Locate the adjustment ring on the bottom of the grinder's hopper. The ring has a series of notches that correspond to different grind sizes. Turn the adjustment ring clockwise until the desired grind size is selected. For a medium roast espresso, you'll want a finer grind than what would be used for drip coffee, but not as fine as what would be used for darker roasts. A good starting point might be around 12-14 on the CASO Barista Flavor's grind size scale. Once you've selected your desired grind size, secure the adjustment ring in place with the locking mechanism. This will prevent any accidental changes to the grind setting during use. Before brewing, we recommend doing a test shot to ensure that the grinder is delivering the correct amount of coffee for your medium roast espresso. Adjust the dosage and grind settings as needed until you achieve the desired flavor profile. Always remember to clean the grinder thoroughly after use to prevent any buildup of oils or residual grounds, which can affect the accuracy of future grinding sessions.
