1 review for Sencor SCG 20

  1. Alejandro Stark

I recently purchased the Sencor SCG 20 coffee grinder in February and my overall experience has been satisfactory, but not great. While it performs its primary function of grinding coffee beans reasonably well, it falls short in terms of quality and durability. The 116 mm width and height of the grinder make it compact and easy to store, but the plastic components feel flimsy and prone to breaking.

In comparison to other coffee grinders I have used in the past, the Sencor SCG 20 is definitely not the best. The consistency of the grind is not always even and it can be quite noisy when in use. On the positive side, it is easy to use and clean, and the price is relatively affordable.

The delivery of the coffee grinder to Raleigh was prompt and hassle-free, which was a plus. However, I do wish the packaging was more secure as the box arrived with a few dents and scrapes.

Overall, I would rate the Sencor SCG 20 coffee grinder a 3 out of 5 stars. It gets the job done, but with several flaws and room for improvement.

Frequently Asked Questions:

How do I adjust the grind size on my Sencor SCG 20 coffee grinder?

To adjust the grind size on your Sencor SCG 20 coffee grinder, follow these steps:
1. Make sure the grinder is turned off and unplugged from the power source. Locate the adjustment knob on the side of the grinder. This knob will be labeled with a number or letters indicating the grind size (e. Fine" for a finer grind, "Coarse" for a coarser grind). Rotate the adjustment knob to select the desired grind size. Turning the knob clockwise will decrease the grind size, making it finer; turning it counterclockwise will increase the grind size, making it coarser. Repeat this process until you have selected the appropriate grind size for your coffee beans and brewing method. As a general rule, fine grinds are best for espresso, medium grinds are suitable for drip coffee makers, and coarse grinds are ideal for French presses or cold brew methods. Once you have selected the desired grind size, securely tighten the top burr assembly onto the bottom burr assembly. Plug in the grinder and turn it on to verify that the ground coffee is of the desired consistency. If necessary, adjust the grind size again until you achieve the desired result. Clean the grinder according to its manufacturer's recommendations to ensure optimal performance.
