1 review for Zassenhaus Santiago

  1. Sammie d

Great design, perfect grinder, optimal size, poor application.
The friend who received it as a gift now sits down and grips the grinder between her legs …
First, think about what you want. It disappointed me.
The Zassenhaus is really attractive in terms of design. It looks really great. The grinding degree can be set quickly and easily. in other models it is a bit more difficult.
This amount of beans is optimal for two cups of coffee.
Unfortunately, there is a painful deduction of points as the grinder does not stop well when turning. Especially since the distance between the crank and the lower part is not large enough to put your hand on top to stabilize.
I’m not convinced of it, but it looks great.

Frequently Asked Questions:

How do I properly clean and maintain my Zassenhaus Santiago coffee grinder?

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your Zassenhaus Santiago coffee grinder, it's essential to follow a proper cleaning and maintenance routine. Here are some steps you can take to keep your grinder in top shape:

1. Before using the grinder for the first time or after prolonged storage, remove any packaging materials and clean the interior of the grinder with a soft brush to remove any dust or debris that may have accumulated during transportation or storage. After each use, unplug the grinder and empty the grounds container. Tap it gently over the sink to dislodge any remaining coffee residue, then wipe it clean with a damp cloth or sponge. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, as they can damage the grinding burrs. Remove the upper burr and clean it thoroughly with a soft brush to remove any stray coffee grounds or debris. Be careful not to damage the delicate burrs during this process. You may also use a toothbrush or small brush with soft bristles to help clean harder-to-reach areas. Use compressed air, a can of food-grade gas (such as Whip It), or a dry pastry brush to blow out any remaining coffee debris from the inner workings of the grinder. This will prevent coffee grounds from accumulating and potentially affecting the flavor of your future brews. Clean the lower burr and the grinding chamber using a small, soft-bristled brush or a dry pastry brush. Be gentle when cleaning around the edges of the burrs to avoid damaging them. Once you've cleaned all the parts thoroughly, reassemble the grinder and perform a few test grinds with fresh beans. This will help ensure that everything is working properly and any remaining debris has been cleared out. If your grinder has a removable upper burr, clean it once a week or more frequently if you use your grinder heavily. Otherwise, you may only need to clean the upper burr every few weeks. Store your Zassenhaus Santiago coffee grinder in a dry place and avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures or humidity, as this can damage the delicate parts of the grinder. If you notice any wear or damage to the burrs, replace them promptly to maintain optimal grinding performance. You can purchase replacement burrs directly from Zassenhaus or from authorized retailers. By following these steps, you can ensure that your Zassenhaus Santiago coffee grinder continues to function at its best and provides delicious, freshly ground coffee for years to come.
