I really like this cafetiere. It makes a good coffee. I think you can have about 4 mug sized coffees, which is great when you have people to share with. I find that if you run the inside of the cafetiere with hot water then your coffee stays warmer and also remember to move the arrow on the lid away from the spout while the coffee brews and when you’re not drinking it because it keeps it warmer longer too, which I sometimes forget. I found it easy to clean and looks great to display on my kitchen worktops. The spout is perfectly narrow and steep giving no dripping unlike a similar model bought recently by a friend. It drives him mad. I should have bought it long ago.

Stylish and good quality. I got mine for my son at a discount so it won’t cost me much.
The biggest advantage except the nice look it the dishwasher option.
With glass and plastic your press will look horrible after few washes – so consider this if you use dishwasher personally.

If it wears as well as my first purchase then it will still be looking good in years and years to come.

What else -well – it is nice to have the long-handled coffee measurer that comes with it.

The lid of this item can be turned to close the spout.
The filter is very effective so no horrid bits left at the bottom of the cup and the coffee stays hot. Only down side – there were no instructions for cleaning – so I’ve only hand washed it.

The coffee still remains hot and hot and hot (and you should be able to hear it when you pour). This is also the only way you can pour the coffee and pour the water without having to worry about the pot spilling on top. If you’d like, the side of the container is also very pretty. So, that’s not to say it wasn’t worth the investment.

The Andrew James Cafeíère Coffee Press 3 Cup is dishwasher safe, so you can easily clean it by placing it in the top rack of your dishwasher. How do I properly clean and maintain my Andrew James Cafetiere Coffee Press after use?

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your Andrew James Cafetiere Coffee Press, it's essential to clean and maintain it regularly. Here are some simple steps you can follow:
1. Rinse the cafetiere with hot water immediately after brewing a pot of coffee. This will remove any leftover coffee grounds and prevent them from hardening in the glass. After rinsing, fill the cafetiere with warm soapy water and let it soak for around 30 minutes. Use a soft sponge or brush to clean the inside of the press thoroughly. Avoid using abrasive cleaning tools that may scratch the glass. Rinse the cafetiere again with hot water to remove any soap residue. Dry the cafetiere completely before storing it, as moisture can lead to mold or bacterial growth. You can place it in the dishwasher for a quick and efficient clean, but make sure to check that your dishwasher is compatible with glassware. To maintain the quality of the coffee, always use freshly roasted beans and grind them just before brewing. This will ensure that your cafetiere produces rich, full-bodied coffee every time you use it. If you notice any cracks or chips in the glass, replace the cafetiere immediately to prevent further damage or breakage during cleaning. By following these simple steps, you can keep your Andrew James Cafetiere Coffee Press in top condition for many years of delicious coffee brewing.

Sterilize with boiling water - To kill any bacteria that may have formed during use, fill the cafetière with boiling water and let it sit for several minutes before emptying. Dry thoroughly - After sterilization, ensure all parts are completely dry to prevent the growth of mold or mildew. How do I properly clean and maintain the Andrew James Cafetiere Coffee Press 3 Cup to ensure optimal coffee brewing performance?

To clean and maintain your Andrew James Cafetière Coffee Press, follow these steps:

1. After each use, disassemble the press by removing the plunger and separating the glass carafe from the base. Rinse all parts with warm water to remove any coffee grounds or residue. For a deeper clean, fill the carafe halfway with white vinegar and add enough hot water to cover the bottom of the press. Let it soak for 30 minutes, then rinse thoroughly with warm water. To prevent mineral buildup and ensure optimal coffee flavor, periodically run a cycle with a descaling solution or half vinegar and half water. Allow the solution to sit in the carafe for several hours before rinsing thoroughly and drying completely. Always dry all parts thoroughly before reassembling the press. Store it in a clean, dry place. To ensure optimal coffee brewing performance, use fresh, high-quality coffee beans and grind them just before brewing. Use the correct ratio of coffee to water (generally 1:16) and avoid over-extracting the coffee by not letting it sit in the press for too long. By following these steps, you can help ensure that your Andrew James Cafetière Coffee Press continues to perform at its best for many years to come.

My coffee grounds are too fine and keep getting stuck in the plunger, how do I adjust the grind size for optimal use with this coffee maker?

1. Check your coffee grinder**: If you're using a blade grinder, consider switching to a burr grinder. Burr grinders are designed to produce a consistent grind size and can be adjusted more precisely. Adjust the grind setting**: If you do have a burr grinder, check if it has an adjustable grind setting. Most grinders have a dial or lever that allows you to adjust the grind size. Experiment with different settings until you find one that produces grounds that are just right – not too fine and not too coarse. Use the "feel" method**: Hold a spoonful of coffee grounds in your hand and evaluate their texture by running your fingers over them. If they're too fine, they'll feel powdery or dusty. If they're too coarse, they'll feel gritty or uneven. Aim for a grind that's slightly finer than kosher salt. Use the "flow" method**: Place a few coffee grounds in the filter basket and pour water over them to simulate the brewing process. Observe how easily the water flows through the grounds. If it's too slow, the grind is likely too fine. If it's too fast, the grind is likely too coarse. Grind in smaller batches**: Grinding too much coffee at once can lead to a coarser grind than you want. Try grinding smaller batches (about 1-2 tablespoons) and adjust as needed. In terms of specific grind sizes, here are some general guidelines:

* Fine: about the consistency of sugar
* Medium: about the consistency of kosher salt
* Coarse: about the consistency of sea salt

Remember that the ideal grind size may vary depending on your coffee maker, brewing method, and personal preference.
